IGNITE igniters are designed to safely fire consumer fireworks using an electrical pulse from your IGNITE module. When a cue is triggered, the igniter sends heat directly to the fuse, allowing for hands-free ignition of your show.
The IGNITE system uses Clip-On Igniters, which connect directly to standard Visco fuse for a reliable and easy-to-use setup. These igniters are available in different lengths and are ideal for most consumer and prosumer fireworks applications.
Fuse-Tube, MJG Initiator, and E-Match Safety Warning / No Longer Recommended
While IGNITE has supported the use of e-match style products (including Chinese e-match, MJG Initiators, and Fuse-Tube igniters), we have made the decision to stop recommending them due to concerns around safety and handling risks.
These igniters are highly sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and friction, which can lead to unintentional ignition. As IGNITE continues to grow within the consumer market, our focus remains on safety-first solutions designed for non-professionally trained users.
Clip-on igniters are designed to attach directly to the side of standard Visco fuse. When triggered, they send an electric current through a tungsten coil that burns through the fuse's lacquer coating and fiber casing to reach the powder core, causing ignition.
You can place the igniter further up the fuse for a longer delay, or closer to the base of the firework for faster ignition timing. This gives you flexibility in how and when each effect starts during your show.
Clip-on igniters are easy to install, but it's critical to connect them the right way. For proper connection, the clip should bite down on the fuse like a dog biting a bone.
This ensures strong contact and reliable ignition. To see the correct technique in action, watch the short video below.
IGNITE supports a maximum of two igniters per cue. Each cue sends a continuous two-second pulse, so if multiple cues are triggered within that window, the pulses can overlap. View more details.
✔Clip-on igniters need to be clamped directly over the fuse using the correct technique.
✔Use the IGNITE app to check continuity before your show starts to ensure proper connection.
✘Do not try to slide the fuse into the clip without opening it. This prevents proper contact.
✘Do not remove the small rubber band from the igniter.

Breakout Boards are a convenient, re-usable solution for wiring multiple igniters to a single cue.
Includes:
Quickplug Harnesses for use with a Breakout Board. Available in 1ft, 6.5ft, & 19.5ft.
You have selected a Quickplug Harness for use with an IGNITE Breakout Board. For safe and effective operation, it's important to adhere to the maximum firing specifications.
Following these specifications helps ensure that all igniters fire as expected. Exceeding the recommended limits may lead to igniters not firing, especially in synchronized or complex firing setups.
The tables below outline the maximum number of igniters that can be fired per cue, when using a single Breakout Board and Quickplug Harness.
Note that in when triggered, each cue sends a continuous 2-second pulse. If multiple cues are triggered within this time frame, the overlapping pulses count toward the maximum firing specifications. For more information on pulse times and their impact on firing capacity, please see our Help Article.
| Quickplug Harness Length | 2M Clip-On | 4M Clip-On | 6M Clip-On |

| 1ft (0.3m) Quickplug Harness | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 6.5ft (2m) Quickplug Harness | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 19.5ft (6m) Quickplug Harness | 2 | 2 | 2 |
